You’re probably familiar with the Australian skin care brand Aesop. If you’ve heard of it, but not tried any of their products, you should. They use high quality ingredients, many of which are plant-based. They produce a variety of skin, hair and body care products as well as fragrances.
What catches your eyes before trying out their products, is the packaging – everything from the simple typography to the clean and sophisticated finish.
My favourite so far is their Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm which smells amazing and doesn’t leave your hands sticky after use, which is the main reason why I haven’t used much hand lotion over the years. I moved home to Norway last week – which marked the end of my Australian adventure – but luckily to me Aesop opened their first store in Norway a couple of years ago, on Prinsens gate in Oslo. The store was designed by Snøhetta – a Norwegian architecture firm who also designed YME Universe on Karl Johans gate and the 9/11 Memorial Museum Pavilion in New York.
